With the increasing age of the Vietnam war Veteran population and the most recent campaigns in the Middle East the numbers of homeless Veterans are on the rise.
Currently Welcome Home turns away 156 Veterans each year on average due to space limitations and cannot accommodate women or families. The current house has suffered wear and tear as well as flooding issues and does not meet ADA requirements. The rooms are very small and some of them have Veterans doubled up in one room. The currently facility is not adequately arranged to provide for female Veterans or Veterans with families.
A new Welcome Home will help accommodate more Veterans in a modern, ADA-accessible facility that is part of a Community for Veterans. Our Veterans fought to protect your home, it’s your turn to fight for their homes.
